We’re heading into the last weekend of performances for Hello from the Children of Planet Earth, and we’re just now seeing a big spike in audience numbers due to some really positive reviews we got.
THE PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER said, “The sweet, endearing Hello from the Children of Planet Earth is a production from the young theater artists of New York-based AGGROCRAG, and its point – that a single solid human connection renders us not just a speck, but a mighty speck in the universe – is made with clarity and a pleasant theatricality.”
PHILADELPHIA WEEKLY called the show “a surprisingly sweet new play,” which “effectively communicates that intimacy is possible even in the vastness of space.” Special shout-outs went to Benj and Jon, where words like “captivating” and “delightful” and “genuine” and “winningly played” were thrown around.
And WWW.PHILLYIST.COM said the show “is a promising production from a fresh new company.”
EXCITING STUFF!
Granted, the reviews aren’t all super-effusive (we had one kind of lukewarm response from Philadelphia City Paper), but I couldn’t be happier with how the show is going, how it’s getting better and better every night, and how audiences are responding to it.
It’s also super great to have so many people from New York making the trip down to support their buddies. It’s been like a slumber party every night!
So, if you’re reading this and haven’t seen the show, maybe think about coming down for it. LAST CHANCE!
